What’s Happening?

Our Handouts Committee

This semester got off to a rocky start for our committee in that our leader needed to step down, and the assistant director had to step in. Regardless of this upheaval, though, we’ve managed to get a lot of work done with handouts. In the beginning of the semester, we partnered with the WAC Committee for a long-term project in creating discipline-specific handouts for clients and consultants to use in sessions. So far, we’ve created drafts of Writing About Art, Writing About Education, Writing About Films, Writing About Music, and Writing About Psychology. In addition to this, the original Handouts Committee members have created drafts of a Business Letter handout, Letter of Intent, and How to Create a CV. We’ve gotten a lot done at this semester midway mark, and we don’t anticipate losing steam anytime soon.
